Our Adoption Story:

After a several of years trying to have a baby via infertility treatments, God re-focused our attention on starting a family through adoption. Seanna's birth family has known Wes through work for many years, and when they found out we really wanted to adopt a child, they selected us to become Seanna's parents and one month later she became a member of our family.

Openness to Birth Parents:

We currently have created a blog which allows Seanna's birth family to follow her progress as they choose too. We update the blog with photos and information approximately once a month. The blog was something that we suggested, as we knew the family really wanted to be updated on Seanna's progress. Wes and I feel very strongly about involving the birth parents/family as much/or as little that they feel comfortable.

Child(ren):

We have been blessed with one child through adoption--Seanna Grace. A beautiful, energetic, and firecracker fashionista born on July 4th, 2008.

Childcare Plans/Parenting Style:

Heather is blessed to be a stay at home mom and Wes is a super involved dad. We have a similar parenting style which allows our child(ren) to experience life at an early age but we have clear expectations and enforce reasonable limits. Our Child(ren) will be given limited choices to help them learn and experience the consequences of their choices and that their decisions count. We, as parents, focus on encouragement and acknowledgment of good behavior.

Our Home:

Our home is a four bedroom, three and a half bath house built in 1993 in Orange County, California. It is situated in a family-oriented community, with a good size back and front yard, in which Seanna loves to play in daily. We live super close to many parks, walking trails, and the beach, all of which we visit often. Our home is completely baby proofed and has lots toys, books and gear waiting to be put to more use... We hope this gives you a sense of who we are and how much we want to offer a child. We would be honored if you chose us to be the adoptive parents of your yours.
