Our love story:
We are high school sweethearts and started dating when we were only 16 and 17 years old. We both went to the local Christian high school and fell in love during baseball season (Sean played on the varsity team and Dena took stats). We have been married for 9 years and have loved every moment. We are best friends! Our relationship is based on trust and commitment with God at the center. We were married for 6 years before we had Eva in order to finish our education, spend time with just the two of us, and travel.

Children:
Eva Ashley is an active 3 years old who loves dolls, riding her bike, beach days, making cookies, and the park. She started preschool at the local Christian school in September and loves it. Eva has brown curly hair and big blue/green eyes.

Home:
We recently moved into a 4-bedroom home in a quiet family-friendly gated community within 10 minutes of beaches, parks, and family. There is a bedroom waiting for a precious baby. There is a neighborhood pool that we frequently use in the summer. We also love to have family and friends over to our house for BBQs, family dinners, and Holiday parties. Eva loves riding her bike and gardening in our big backyard.

Finances:
Sean started his own software business 4 years ago and we have been extremely blessed. He works from home 4 out of 5 days a week from his home office. Dena works 1-2 days a week at the local hospital as a Certified Nurse Midwife delivering babies and caring for pregnant women in the clinic. We have always lived within our means and have a nice savings account and retirement fund started. We pay off our credit card every month and only have our mortgage payment and student loans as debt. We believe education is very important and have a college fund already started.

Interest in Adoption:
When doctors said it would not be safe for Dena to get pregnant again due to a high-risk pregnancy with Eva, we knew immediately we would adopt our next child. Our family and friends are very excited about our adoption journey and can’t wait to meet our new baby.

Openness to Birthparents:
We would be happy to exchange letters, emails, and pictures if that is the birthmother’s desire. We are committed to raising our child to know they are adopted. We are open to meeting in person or speaking on the phone throughout the pregnancy and are open to attending doctor’s appointments. We are also willing to be there for the birth or at the hospital, depending on the wishes of the birthmother.

Child Care Plans:
We have been extremely blessed to have always had a family member - typically Dena’s mom (Grandy) - watch Eva when Dena works 1-2 days per week. They go to the park or to Grandy and Grampy’s house to play. Sean’s family also lives within 5 minutes from us and sometimes watches Eva. Sean also works from home which gives us a lot of flexibility.
