Greg and Carol Family InformationGregOccupation: Elementary School Teacher CarolOccupation: Homemaker, Substitute Teacher Interests and Hobbies: There are so many things that we discovered we both enjoy doing. We enjoy riding our bicycles. We participate in centuries (100-mile ride) and half-centuries (50-mile ride). We especially enjoy traveling. Backpacking to different countries gives us the opportunity to see many places and meet people at "street level." Camping is something that we try to do every summer. We like packing up the car with everything from firewood to sleeping bags and a tent. Home: We live in a charming house built in 1910 with the original moldings and hardwood oak floor. We have lived in this two-bedroom home since 2000, and we have developed wonderful relationships with our neighbors. We have watched the neighborhood children grow up. Our home is very close to Griffith Park, which we ride our bikes to often. We also own a house in Newnan, Georgia. Finances and Child Care Plans: We are financially very secure and stable. As a public school teacher, Greg is able to provide sufficiently so that Carol can choose to stay home. Carol is a homemaker, and since she has her CA Teaching Credential, she occasionally substitute teaches for two private Christian schools. Once we adopt Carol plans to be a stay-at-home mom. Why are you interested in building your family through adoption: We have had the privilege of seeing many of our friends add to their families through adoption. The Lord has laid it in our hearts to still have a child in spite of our inability to conceive. We are praying that He will bless our efforts to have a child or children through adoption. |
