Child Adoption Services -– Unplanned Pregnancy Options

Orange County, California, adoption attorney Tim Blied has more than 25 years of experience with all aspects of private adoption, and he has helped more than 3,000 children find permanent homes with loving adoptive families. To see how we can help you resolve an unplanned pregnancy through adoption, contact us by e-mail or by calling us toll-free at (800) 678-6811.

A partner with the law firm of Schmiesing Blied Stoddart & Mackey, LLP, and an adoptive father himself, Tim Blied helps pregnant women and teens work through the process of deciding after careful consideration and counseling whether adoption is the right option for them and, if so, finding the right adoptive family for their child through the open adoption process. This gives expectant birth mothers the chance to choose the right adoptive parents for their child, develop a relationship with the new family, and define the terms of an ongoing relationship with the adoptive family.

We emphasize education and counseling for both the birth mother and the adoptive parents, and use our best efforts to make sure that everyone understands the importance of their decision and its long-term consequences. We have found over the years that open adoption gives birth mothers a wonderful opportunity to find a loving home for their child, in appropriate cases, while maintaining a mutually agreed upon relationship with the adoptive family in the years to come.

While we bring a strong Christian orientation to our law practice and adoption services, we work with birth mothers and adoptive parents of all faiths and backgrounds, or who have no religious identity at all. We handle both independent and agency adoptions. We strongly encourage prospective adopting parents to obtain a pre-placement adoption homestudy through a licensed adoption agency and regularly partner with both Christian and nonreligious adoption agencies in adoption settings to match birth mothers and prospective parents through the open adoption process. Most important, we work with you to make sure that you receive the services and counseling that best address your needs and interests.

We serve pregnant women and teens anywhere in the United States, and there is no charge to birth mothers for any of our services. For more information, contact Southern California child adoption attorney Tim Blied at (800) 678-6811.
