Dear Birth Mother,Susan and Tom say, "Thank you birth mother!!!"
Thank you for choosing life and for carrying your baby to term. Knowing this must be a difficult and stressful time, you should understand you're doing a wonderful thing. In a way, you're one of God's angels on earth. There's many people, us included, who believe you're carrying a life inside you. We're proud of you for choosing life. Since you are considering adoption, we would like to introduce ourselves as prospective adoptive parents. We promise your baby will have a bright future should you choose us. Our names are Susan and Tom. We are a loving compassionate but childless couple who have been married a little over five years. One thing we need to mention right away is that we are people of faith. We are a practicing Christian Catholic couple who would love to be able to share our faith with a precious child. As you read the following paragraphs, you'll find out a little about who we are and put your mind at ease with the knowledge that we'd make great adoptive parents. We first met through a Catholic singles group and were married in 2002 after dating for a year and being engaged for another year after that. We had a nice ceremony at our local church with family and close friends and our lives together as a married couple have been fulfilling. We kind of complete each other. Each of us thinks we're better together as a couple than either of us would be on our own. We live in a nice house in a stable suburban community on Long Island. It's about an hour and a half away from New York City. The style of our home is known as California ranch. It has four bedrooms with a deck and a patio for barbeques and parties in the summertime, a fireplace for those cold winter nights and a big fenced in backyard for running around and playing. Susan is a religious education teacher at our church and loves working with kids. In addition, she gets involved with volunteer work for important causes. Since college, Susan has worked with children of all ages whether as a counselor, teacher or a private tutor for autistic children. Some of her past activity includes helping with crisis pregnancy, hospice care and other volunteering. She's also active in many of the programs in our local parish and does fundraising. Tom works as an engineer for a large agency. The work is interesting and important, but also has a great side benefit. It allows him the opportunity to come home for lunch a few days a week. You see, his office is only 6 miles from home. Most people have an hour long commute to work or even longer, but Tom's commute is about fifteen minutes. That's more time to be available to a child as an involved dad. Both of us love animals. Several years ago, we made the decision to rescue ex-racing Greyhounds and we had two until recently when we lost our male dog Lance. We were left with only Revas, our female greyhound, until recently when we took in an English springer spaniel pup that had no home. We took him in immediately and named him Kelsey. He's now part of our family. We also have two birds, a Quaker named Noah and a big Amazon Parrot named Oscar, who we just took in. Oscar is 27 years old and his previous family couldn't take care of him any longer. Our household is lively and active. As far as hobbies and interests, Susan loves to swim and dive and has been fortunate enough to go on diving trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and Catalina Island. Also, she's traveled through and toured much of Europe. Tom likes to keep busy with projects around the house. We recently renovated our kitchen and he's planning on doing some painting. We both love the warmer weather so we can go out on the water with our boat. Whether cruising around, doing a little fishing or just relaxing in the sun, being out on the boat is a lot of fun. We look forward to boating this season! So, we hope you've gotten to know a little bit about us. Like we said before, this is a difficult situation and we can appreciate your dilemma, but we hope you'd feel comfortable placing your baby with us. Our solemn promise to you is that we will give your baby a lifetime of security, opportunity and endless love. If you would like more information about us or would like to meet us in person, please contact our attorney, Timothy Blied of the law offices of Schmiesing Blied Stoddart & Mackey at 1-800-678-6811. Thank you.
