Dear Birth Mother,
We are unable to have biological children and adoption is our first choice in starting a family. We have been licensed foster parents for a couple of years. We also are involved with RFKC which is a camp for foster kids age 7-11. Between these two involvements in our life and our love for children we believe that the time is right for us. I have seen how Carol responds when she is around children, how she lights up and I have seen how children react to her and are drawn to her. We both feel that there is something missing in our lives and we both believe that it is the sound of children. We are looking forward to the day when our lives will be turned upside down by taking the kids to school and soccer. Carol and I are both self employed so our schedules are very flexible. Carol works from our home and is a Human Resource Consultant and I have my own painting and wall paper company. We always knew that Carol would be at home when we had a child. We wanted to have jobs that were very flexible so we could be around more. Carol graduated from Biola and then got her master’s degree from Ohio State University. I went to college a couple of years before I decided I wanted to start my own business. Both of us are very active and athletic people who love being outdoors. We do triathlons which are races comprised of swimming, biking and running. I like most sports especially playing basketball while Carol would prefer to go for a hike which she got from her dad. We have already looked into the packs to carry the baby wherever we go and also the carriers that we can use when we are biking. Carol's parents live close by as well as her two brothers. We are very close and they will be here helping out on a regular basis. We wouldn't want it any other way. Most of my family lives back in the Midwest. I have 4 brothers and a sister. One brother does live close by and I know that he can't wait to do all the uncle duties. We live in Fullerton where our house has plenty of room for a family to grow. We live in a gated community with some great families that we have gotten become friends with. We are both Christians and attend a nondenominational Christian church. Many of our friends are from the church and have growing families that we love spending time with. They look forward to sharing in our joy and being available for us as well. We feel we have this huge support system behind us and e won't be doing this alone! Our hope and prayer is that we will have a child to love. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to find out a little about us. Choosing adoption is an amazingly selfless and loving decision; thank you for considering us. We would love the opportunity to meet you. Warmest Regards, Terry and Carol We are represented by Tim Blied of the law offices of Schmiesing, Blied, Stoddart & Mackey. My name is Terry and my wife is Carol. We have been married since April 1991. We first met at Ohio State University in a ballroom dance class. We saw each other, danced the first dance together and have been together ever since. There was something about Carol that I knew without a doubt that we were meant to be together. I have never been so sure about something and that is how I feel now about wanting to start a family. I know that Carol feels the same way. We are already praying for you, as you are in the process of finding the family for your child.
