Considering Adoption?Caring, Compassionate, Experienced.

Dear Birth Mother,

scott-shelliIn our 10 years of marriage, we have invested much of our time in the lives of children. It's been great, but our hearts long for children of our own. We are very grateful for birthparents like you who have chosen the courageous route of making an adoption plan for your child. Were it not for your selfless choice, we would not have the opportunity to be parents.

Thank you for the sacrifices that you've had to make to bring life into this world, and for considering us as potential adoptive parents for your little one. We will take very good care of him or her. This little gift from God will be surrounded by a loving family and friends. We promise to raise this child to love God and to know Jesus as his or her Savior.

We both grew up in Southern California, where we graduated from college and now reside. I am a commercial real estate broker and Shelli is a manager with a Christian missionary organization. It is our intent that when we have a child, Shelli will become a stay-at-home mom. We own a 4-bedroom home at the beach that we are eager to fill with children.

I was 16 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord. Shelli was raised in a Christian home and invited Jesus into her heart when she was 4. We actually met at church, through a mutual friend. Our love and commitment to the Lord impacts us more than any other factor in our lives. We very much want the privilege of raising children to know and love Him, too.

I am the older of two boys. My brother, Danny, is married with two sons. Shelli is the middle of three daughters. Her two sisters have four children each. So, we have a lot of nieces and nephews to enjoy. Besides all of the fun we've had at the beach, we've enjoyed trips to the mountains and desert together. We've skied, snowboarded, kayaked, hiked, rollerbladed, sailed, climbed trees, lifted weights, and jogged together. We've also enjoyed annual Christmas traditions of baking cookies and competing with each other in decorating gingerbread houses.

Of course we've also changed diapers, chased little ones around who didn't want to go to bed, or put on their PJs, or brush their teeth. We've fed babies a bottle, put them over our shoulder to burp them and got more than a burp. We understand the love, work and self-sacrifice that go into raising a little one. We know firsthand what children are like when they're 1, 10 or 15 years old.

We have been loving and caring for other people's children for many years, and though it has been such a joy, we long for children of our own. We long to kiss them good-night instead of just good-bye. Since we have been unable to have children biologically, we believe that by adopting someone in need of a loving home, it would be a "win-win" for everyone.

We are open to adopting children up to 3 years old, boy or girl, siblings or twins. We desire to have a respectful, honest and open relationship with the birthparents. We are eager to discuss a comfortable schedule for everyone involved.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little. May the Lord bless you and guide you in this important time of your life.
