Dear Birth Mother,
Matt was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Woodland, Washington. His dad is a pastor and he grew up with 2 younger sisters. His mom home schooled all of them until they went off to college. Matt grew up playing the trumpet and working on a dairy farm. Kelli was born in Clinton, Iowa. She has one sister, who moved out to California 5 years ago to live by us when we had children, and one brother who is married with 2 kids and one on the way. She grew up singing everywhere she could! We met in 1994 while both going to school at a Christian college. We were both music majors at time where we were involved in choir. Matt also played the trumpet and Kelli toured with a singing group touring throughout California and Alaska. We fell in love and were married July 1997. We have been married almost 10 years and bought our first home 2 years ago. Matt loves to golf, play basketball and softball. Kelli loves to shop, scrapbook, sing, cook, jog on the treadmill, and entertain. We love to travel, although most of our traveling is to visit ourparents in Washington and Iowa. We have a total of 2 nieces, I nephew, and 2 more on the way. We love to go and play with them every chance that we get. We have also traveled to Hawaii, Mexico and Bermuda. Matt has also been to the Bahamas with his work. Kelli has been to Italy and Germany to help her friend travel with her 3 kids. Matt is a purchasing manager for a landscape company in the Santa Clarita Valley. He loves his job and works just 3 minutes from home. Kelli is a music teacher lot a private elementary school. She works 3 afternoons a week. The children love her story the day that she tells them the last 5 minutes of class. We are very involved in our church. We are active in a bible study, Matt plays the trumpet in the church orchestra, Kelli occasionally sings, is a wedding reception hostess and has been a wedding coordinator for 3 weddings. Christian values are something that we think are essential and we cant wait to pass a Christian legacy onto our children. Christmas eve 2005, God answered our prayers when our adopted daughter, Ivy Elisabeth was born. She has been one of our greatest joys. We count the last 2 years as the greatest and most joyful of our lives. She screams with joy every night when she hears her dad walk in the door from work and say Wheres my girls? We run to the door to kiss him. She loves other kids and is such a happy and content little girl. Our desire has always been to have our children close together in age. We would love for them to be best friends and playmates. Thank you so much for loving your unborn child enough to choose adoption. We dont want you to have to go through this process alone. We hope you have a taste of who we are. Sincerely, Matt and Kelli If you would like to meet us, please contact our attorney, Timothy Blied of the law offices of Schmiesing Blied Stoddart & Mackey at 1- 800-678-6811. |
