Dear Birth Mother,
We have been married for 7 years. We have one daughter (Alexis) who is 15 years old and will be a sophomore in high school. Alexis is Jerry’s biological daughter. We also have one black Labrador and one yellow Labrador who are great with kids. We live in a very family orientated neighborhood in Chino Hills. There are many families with young children, and there is a park right behind our house. The local elementary school is just 5 blocks form our house.
Jerry and I both come from large families (Jerry is 1 of 8) and (Dee is 1 of 5). We see both families on a regular basis (2-3 times per month) and they are very supportive of our plans to adopt. As parents we are very loving and supportive. We are very involved with Alexis’ academic and extracurricular activities. We believe in providing a structured environment while teaching children how to be responsible and respectful of others.. We listen to our daughter and guide her to make good decisions in her life. Last of all, we love to laugh and have fun together as a family. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. Although we cannot possibly understand what you are going through right now, we do hope that we can help in some way. We have tried for 6 1/2 years to conceive a child of our own, and have come to accept that this is not to be. We would be delighted and overjoyed to have the opportunity to raise a baby from birth, and it is something that would complete our family.
We are looking forward to the day when we may raise another child together. Alexis is very eager to have a sibling to play with, care for, and to keep her company.
